AI subcontractor for Atlassian partners and consultancies

Partners and consultancies are getting AI requests from Jira clients faster than they can hire for them. I take those engagements as a subcontractor: a JSM agent, a Rovo build, an MCP connection, an AI readiness audit. You keep the client, I deliver the AI part, and the work runs under your brand or mine, whichever the client expects.

Key takeaways

  • You keep the account; I deliver the AI scope, report to whoever runs the engagement, and hand everything over to your team at the end.
  • Scoping happens with you first and with the client second, so the price you quote is one I have already agreed to.
  • Every build follows the same supervised method: a readable plan, the client’s approval, execution with a log.

What partners bring me in for

  • AI agents in Jira Service Management: triage, routing, drafted answers from Confluence.
  • Rovo work where the client needs more than the defaults, or a custom agent where Rovo cannot reach.
  • MCP integrations that connect an AI assistant to the client’s Jira and Confluence safely.
  • AI readiness audits as a fixed-price first step you can resell.
  • Forge apps where an AI step needs to live inside Jira itself.

How scoping and handover work

We scope together before the client sees a price. I join the client calls you want me on, under your name if that is the arrangement. During delivery I work in the client’s tools and report through your engagement lead. At the end your team receives the runbook, the change log and a walkthrough, so the client stays with you for whatever comes next.

Your brand or mine

Both work. White-label delivery is fine for most clients. Where it is possible, I ask for one thing in return: permission to publish an anonymised case study or a co-branded write-up, because that is how a one-person practice shows its work.

When subcontracting to me does not fit

I am one engineer, so a programme that needs a team on site every day, or support around the clock, is better staffed by a larger firm. The same goes for pure Atlassian licensing or migration resale with no AI or build component.

Describe the client request in a few lines. I reply within one working day with whether it fits and what a first scoping call would need.

Questions

Are you an Atlassian partner?
No, and I do not claim to be. I work alongside partners as a subcontractor, which is the point of this page.
Can you work under our NDA and contract terms?
Yes. Subcontracts usually run on the partner’s paper, with the client’s data rules passed through.
How do you price subcontracted work?
The same structure as direct work: a fixed price for an audit or a scoped build, or a weekly rate for embedded time, agreed with you before the client sees a number.

Most partner engagements start with one client request. Send it over and I will tell you whether it fits.
